Hello Dylon. Unfortunately, none of the hitches we carry for the 2017 Honda Civic will fit the center exhaust models. The exhaust sits literally right where the hitch would need to be located. Even if a hitch was designed to fit under the exhaust, this would be less than ideal because your bike rack and bikes would be directly behind the exhaust which for obvious reasons would not be good.
The best way to carry bikes on your civic is to add a roof rack with crossbars and use a roof-mounted... view full answer...
Hey Martin, I would go with the Kuat Transfer single bike rack part # KU64FR as you can expand it one bike at a time with the expansion kit part # KU57FR. Each of the # KU57FR kits will add ability to carry one additional bike so you'd want two more to get the rack up to a 3 bike rack. view full answer...
Hey Allan, there isn't a single bike rack that would cover everything you need unfortunately so you'd have to look into a different option. Like maybe a hitch bike rack for the e-bikes like the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202. And then a roof bike rack for the rest of the bikes like with the part # RRRBC050. view full answer...
Hi there Damia (that's a cool name), thanks for the question and we can get your 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe set up with a trailer hitch for your bike rack. The best one is from Curt, and is the following part number:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C96NR
The # C96NR is perfect for a bike rack because it's up high off the ground (just over 20 inches) which means your rack will have plenty of clearance to avoid making ground contact, the face of the hitch is about even with your bumper... view full answer...
Hey Jared, the Yakima Backswing bike rack part # Y02465 that you referenced does have the needed clearance to allow the rear door of your 2008 Dodge Sprinter to open. It has a distance of 15 inches from it's hitch pin hole to the back of the bike rack mast which is more than enough. view full answer...
Hey Danny, so the Thule T2 XTR bike rack part # TH69TX weighs 96 lbs (lets just call it 100) and then it has a 160 lb weight capacity so at most it would weigh 260 lbs. So since basically all 2 inch hitches have at least a 350 lb tongue weight capacity you wouldn't need to get too worried about that aspect of the hitch.
For that I really like the Curt hitch part # C47HR for 2024 Subaru Forester as it has the needed capacity and also has a mostly hidden appearance since only the hitch... view full answer...
Yes, the Hollywood Racks Destination bike rack part # HLY66ZR that you referenced is compatible with the Lectric XP bike racks that you have. It has the needed weight capacity and also ability to secure the bike frames without using an adapter bar. Most e-bikes are made without top tubes like your e-bike and this rack was designed to attach to it. view full answer...
Hey Jeff,
Since most tow bars have to sit up 90 degrees and then turn to either side to stow you'd almost certainly need to remove a bike rack. The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-4 you were looking at would allow you to haul both but it along with even their largest version # RM-077-10 would likely still have the bike rack block the tow bar from stowing. view full answer...
Hey Angelo, thanks for reaching out!
The Replacement Hardware Bag # 7520990001 won't work for your Thule T1 TH9041 bike rack.
If you're needing to replace the anti-rattle hitch pin then the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2 is what you're needing. If you're needing other parts for your bike rack, please let me know what exactly you're looking for and I'd be happy to help find it for you! view full answer...
Currently Thule no longer offers that portion of the T2 Pro XT 9034. You might reach out to Thule directly to see if they can help you with a repair as the bike rack does offer a lifetime warranty. view full answer...
I really wish there was a great solution but nothing we have works mainly because of the number of bikes. E-bike racks are primarily 2 bike racks and when you have to limit them to 5th wheel applications that makes it really hard.
If for some reason you would only carry 2 e-bikes we have the Hollywood Racks RV Rider part # HLY64FR which is 5th wheel rated and has the weight capacity needed. view full answer...
Hey Dave, for a bike rack that has fenders that weighs as much as what you mentioned I would recommend the Thule EasyFold XT bike rack part # TH903202 which was designed for carrying heavier e-bikes with fenders like what you have and comes with a pull out ramp to make loading and unloading easier. view full answer...
I think we have a solution for you here, but the two parts you mentioned are using an adapter and adapter together. What you can do instead is which is use a Gen-Y ball mount shanks with stacked receivers. This gives you the ability use both a ball mount and bike rack, stacked at different heights so they don't interfere with each other. I'm not sure how much more rise you need, so here are a couple options:
- 7-1/2" Drop/Rise: Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-304
- 10"... view full answer...
Hey Laurence, yes the Hollywood Rack RV Rider part # HLY64FR will work great with your Aventon Step Thru E-Bikes. It was designed to be able to carry e-bikes that have deep step thru frames like what you can see in the attached picture. view full answer...
The Replacement 2" Adapter for Swagman 1-1/4" to 2" Bike Racks # SP323 is actually not going to work with your Thule T2 Pro X Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # TH83GC, instead you'd need to use the Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HT02 which will work and has been approved by Thule. view full answer...
Hi Mark,
So I scoured every bike rack option, and unfortunately one with the exact configuration doesn't exist, for a couple reasons. The issue is being rated for an RV, weight capacity for ebikes, and especially the fenders, as the Thule rack you mentioned is wheel-mounted so won't work with fenders. If you're okay going with a 2-bike rack, there isn't an option for one with a ramp, but there is one with an electric lift if your Winnebago has a 7-way, the Saris Door County Bike Rack for... view full answer...
To determine if support brackets are needed to accommodate the weight of the bikes/rack you'd be placing in the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 you would need to contact Keystone and ask what the weight capacity of the rear bumper is. You could also reach out to a local fabrication/welding company and have them take a look/weld on some extra supports to ensure that the bumper can handle the weight. view full answer...
Great question Rae, so from an in-use perspective there isn't really a difference between a square tube and round tube trailer hitch. So for your 2012 Nissan Murano where there are only round tube hitches available like the Curt # 13577 that would be what you would want to go with to use the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 you mentioned. view full answer...
Hey Laurie, so we have great e-bike racks that are RV approved like the Yakima OnRamp part # Y36FR but we don't have any trike carriers at all at this time unfortunately. view full answer...
Hi Hugh, the receiver depth of the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH99MR is 2-1/2" from the end of the receiver tube to the hitch pin hole center and 6-1/16" from the end of the receiver to the vertical shank of the receiver. view full answer...
